With regards to my predictions, I got 29/35 (83%)

A couple of big surprises (dare I say... snubs?) with no love for Greta Gerwig or Margot Robbie. Given the cultural juggernaut that was Barbie, it seems like a bit of an oversight not to nominate its director or leading actress. Lovely to see Hayao Miyazaki get another nomination for The Boy And The Heron (and a nice surprise to see Nimona get a Best Animated Feature nomination). Jodie Foster gets an Oscar nomination, nearly 30 years since her last nod. Lily Gladstone becomes the first Indigenous actor to be nominated for Best Actress.    

Oppenheimer leads the field with a huge 13 nominations, with Poor Things taking 11 nods and Killers Of The Flower Moon with 10 nominations.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday 10th March 2024, at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center. Jimmy Kimmel will be returning to host for the fourth time.

There's now a little bit of a break in awards season insanity (inanity?) - we'll be picking it back up again on the weekend of 17th/18th February, with the DGA Awards and BAFTA Film Awards respectively.
