No surprises with either Nomadland or Soul winning their respective categories. It feels as if the awards were theirs to lose, if you know what I mean? I think this definitely solidifies Nomadland as front runner for the Oscar Best Picture. Mind you, last year I said the same about 1917 and we all know how that ended up...
Congratulations to all the winners!
For those not inclined to awards stuff, you'll be pleased to know there's a bit of a gap until the next ceremony: the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are next, on Sunday 4th April.
Due to how things are, SAG have made the decision to do a pre-recorded, one-hour special to honour the winners of this year's awards. The show will be recorded the day before the broadcast, so the winners will be known ahead of time.
What's the bets at least one category gets spoiled ahead of time?
